Capital Funding for Biomedical Sciences

The Wellcome Trust and the Wolfson Foundation have announced a new partnership to fund capital projects in the biomedical sciences. The two charities will be working together to provide up to £30 million of investment in UK research infrastructure.
The WellcomeWolfson Capital Awards in Biomedical Sciences provide funding for largescale projects (more than £1 million), in partnership with the host institution.
The scheme aims to facilitate internationally competitive, leadingedge biomedical research.
Projects can include either construction of a new building or refurbishment. Proposals are welcome from applicants based at academic institutions in the UK or the Republic of Ireland who meet the eligibility criteria.
