Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Windows Call for Proposals

We are pleased to inform you that the new Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Windows Call for Proposals EACEA 13/09 for implementation of the Latin America region window in the academic year 2009/2010, has been published. In the framework of the External Cooperation Window programme please find here below a new Call for proposals for the promotion of cooperation between higher education institutions and the exchange of students and academic staff between EU Member States and the countries targeted in the Latin America window.
Due to the fact that the Call for proposals EACEA 35/08 did partially reach the expected objectives, the current call for proposals EACEA 13/09 is launched with the specific aim of accomplishing those objectives identified in the cooperation with Latin America region.
The Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window aims at mutual enrichment and better understanding between the European Union and Third-Countries. It is designed to foster institutional co-operation in the field of higher education between the European Union and Third-countries through a mobility scheme addressing student and academic exchanges for the purpose of studying, teaching, training and research.
The following Latin American countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
Eligible Activities: The EC grants will contribute to financing institutional-based partnerships of European and Latin American higher education institutions to cover the following types of activities:
— the organisation of individual mobility of higher education students and academic staff and
— the implementation of individual mobility. The types of mobility and education to be funded in this Call are:
— Students: undergraduate, master, doctorate and post-doctorate mobility opportunities
— Academic staff: exchanging for the purposes of teaching, practical training and research.
