Sure Start Children’s Centre Workers

Do you want to make a difference to children and families in the community?

Exciting opportunities are available for new permanent Children’s Centre Worker posts in 15 Sure Start Children’s Centres across Salford.

You will be responsible for engaging with parents and carers, including fathers, lone parents, and teenage parents in activities at the Children’s Centres. You will facilitate groups and be responsible for outstanding quality crèche and play provision. You will support families experiencing difficulties and work closely with other professionals such as health visitors, midwives and family support workers.

We are looking for people who have experience of working with children and families in the community. You will have, or be willing to achieve, a relevant qualification at NVQ level 3. Candidates’ preferences for a particular centre or area will be taken into account.

Location: At one of our 15 Children’s Centres across Salford
Salary: £16,941 to £18,882
Hours: Full time (36 hrs) and part- time (18hrs) posts available
Grade: Scale 4
Qualification: Achieved or working towards NVQ 3 in Childcare (or equivalent)
